Patrick has over 25 years of research experience. He has managed the Global Research team to complete hundreds of research projects for central and local government organisations, and private businesses. He has a hands on approach to project delivery while at the same time empowering his team to apply their skills, experience and unique perspectives to deliver high-quality outcomes. While he oversees each project, nothing brings him more satisfaction than seeing the Global Research team combine to deliver high quality self-driven results.
Some career highlights include:
- Department of Conservation: largest ever face to face visitor survey, collecting 6,000 surveys over three seasons.
- City of Melbourne: completing over 70 public engagement analysis projects, since 2015.
- Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 (Phases 1 & 2): public engagement analysis and reporting.
- Patterson Hospitality Group: guest insights research over 10 years, contributing to all three properties consistently rated in top 3 on TripAdvisor.
- Ministry of Justice: Review of the Arms Act consultation analysis, 2025.
- Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF): brand awareness measurement since 2016.
- CERA, Christchurch City Council and ECAN: multiple Christchurch post-earthquake recovery projects, giving voice to citizen’s opinions.
- New Zealand Olympic Committee: review of support team’s Tokyo campaign.

In his spare time, Patrick enjoys the cultural and sporting pursuits of his two wonderful children and relaxing on the beach with his wife. He is convinced there is at least one more marathon in the old legs - we will see!
