For nearly 25 years, Global Research has delivered applied quantitative and qualitative research for central and local government agencies, businesses, and NGOs across New Zealand, Australia and beyond.
Who we are
Global Research was founded in 2002 in Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand. We've grown into a team of 12 researchers who partner with clients to turn information into insight – and insight into better public and commercial decisions.
Our work spans the full research lifecycle – from problem-framing and instrument design through fieldwork, analysis and reporting. Our clients include central government, councils, academic institutions, and private organisations across Australasia – relationships that in many cases stretch back years.
We hold SOC 2 Type 1 certification, independently audited against the Trust Services Criteria for data security and privacy – and we're members of the Research Association of New Zealand.

Our team
Global Research is a team of market and social researchers drawn from across the social sciences – sociology to environmental science, psychology to law.
That range keeps the research rigorous, and life outside research – travel, curiosity, other careers – keeps it grounded. For each project, we assemble the team the work needs.
Our experience
Over two decades of applied research.
Our work began in 2003, surveying visitor perceptions of accessible and remote tracks for the Department of Conservation, with 4,500 responses collected, analysed and reported across three seasons to inform strategic recreation planning and track standards development. Read about the project.
